What do you think is wrong with America?

I've debated over what's wrong with America for several years.  Now a days, there is way too much wrong with America it's hard to collect my thoughts rationally.  So what do you think is wrong with America?  I want to now.  I am not easily offended I just want the truth.  And if you have a solution I'd love to read that too...

Side note: I do not take sides with politicians.  I am not a democrat and I am not a republican- I'd say more of an independent myself.

Odds of getting a job today are equivalent to winning the lotto?

It's hard to tell what the real unemployment rate is and more so in your local community.  I personally live in #Colorado and it seems every single job I apply to and get an interview, I am told more than 200 people applied to that position.  It's discouraging hearing those staggering numbers but it's our harsh reality of today.  I can recall recently listening to a gas station attendant explain if he ever worked at the local hospital he'd never quit... he doesn't care what they did to him.  Wow, our expectations surely have declined over the last five years.

I remember about five years ago people telling me they quit one job and got another the next day.  They would quit over silly things in my opinion but they were standing up for their rights and beliefs.  Now, it's obviously no secret it's the employers market.  Why would they higher me over someone with their Masters Degree in Business and a Bachelors degree in social behavior?  Oh, did I mention they were willing to be paid 10 an hour too?  They wouldn't and that's the harsh truth.

About the only news station that actually reports the real numbers and facts is #RTnews.  That's about it.  There is no other news station (not even MSNBC which I thought they were pretty good up until recently).  Rt did a story about how many jobs today that were being paid 12-15 an hr are being posted for 8-10 an hr.  That's a huge savings.  No wonder why these master degree people are applying to be receptionists and secretaries... it's bizarre and insane.

So what is the real unemployment rate?  Well apparently they have three different rates that they go by (which I don't understand) and there's the unemployment rate, the #U-6 unemployment rate and the real unemployment rate.  Then if you go to a website that features the U-6 unemployment rate they have other categories to view?  Why isn't there one number to go by?  Well, our puppet masters of our economy which is well known that it's the federal reserve, don't want anyone to know the economy is that bad that our unemployment rate as a nation is 13.6% - 29% which may have changed by the time you or anyone reads this.  That's okay.  The point is, when was the last time you heard the unemployment rate was this high?

I was thinking 2008 as well when the recession hit... so are the predictions that our stock market and economy will have a second collapse come the end of 2013?  Only time will tell us but we need to know this information... it's our right and why do we need to know this info?  Because it explains why 200 people apply for one position and why we are not getting these job opportunities.

So what happens now?  I say the only safe field to get into anymore these days is medical.  Currently I work for an elderly man where I care for his needs throughout the day which isn't bad and 200 people aren't pounding down the door to get a job here...

If things do get better... which I am having a hard time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel... it probably won't be for a while.  So, know you're not the only one who can't find a job in this economy... the odds in my opinion are about as bad as winning the lottery... 1 in 15 million.  No?  That's ridiculous?  Well, I beg to differ as I've applied for well over 2,000 jobs since last year in May and I have gotten 2 interviews and no job.  Be safe out there everyone and good luck on your job hunts.

Our culture needs to change!

It seems whenever I turn the TV on, while I am at work that is as I don't have cable, there is nothing of importance on.  This even goes for watching the news.  I try to never watch Faux news (#Fox news) or any lame local channel as all of the news they deliver is fed to them to repeat.  The news tells us what they want us to believe.  I despise this.  Currently there are 5 #wildfires in Colorado that is being partially reported on.  One news caster from Fox News says, "We'll report the news shortly after this break...."  Five minutes or so of commercial break and then a four minutes story on some guy who climbed a mountain with cancer. I'm sorry but seriously?

It's not that I don't think this man is amazing, I do... however, we have other pressing things that we want to hear about such as the #Coloradowildfires.  I think it's crap that we have to Google news verses being told what's really going on in the world.  The straw that broke the camels back for me was when they reported for five minutes about entertainment and more specifically how #JessicaAlbawasinDenver.  Who gives a crap... sorry she's great and what not but I don't care!

We all know that moment when we realize that our culture has vastly changed from the 1950's mindset.  That's okay... we need to evolve.  We are constantly changing as the one thing that is constant in our world is #change.  Somehow, we've managed to toss all important values, morals and education out the window and now all we care about is what celebrities are doing with their day/time.  Oh, we also care about how many TVs one has in the home and how much money they make per year because the more money you make the more important you are.

Most of us have woken up to this false materialistic mindset that our culture seems to be stuck in but it's the younger one's that are still stuck in this mentality.  I've noticed those born from 1987 and up are really stuck in, "Money makes the world go round." crap we're taught from a very young age.  I was taught this mentality as well.  Heck, I even carried this mentality on until I was about 25 and then I started to wake up.  I may not be a millionaire but I drive an electric car, use electricity as little as possible, lowered my waste, close my #ChaseBank account and switched to a credit union and started paying attention to world news.

The US is not the only country on this planet and we as a society are slowly waking up to this fact.  We need to change our culture's mentality to caring about others and forgetting about materialistic goods.  We still have many in our culture that are blinded and it's our youth or so it seems.

26 reasons why I hate living in the United States of America!

1. Our economy is shit but the 1% doesn't care.

2. Money makes our government go round.

3. The mainstream media only cares about ratings not real news.

4. Our social standards are warped beyond anyone's comprehension.

5. The cost of living is too high for us "poor" people to survive.

6. If you're born poor you die poor- usually this is the case.

7. The American dream everyone talks about died long ago.

8. Capitalism doesn't help anyone but the Monopoly owners... good for them.

9. Celebrities get paid millions but certified nursing assistants and janitors get paid low wages to clean poop.

10. We actually gave 7 billion to banks (I wish we would have let them drown) instead of helping the American people.

11. The middle class is dying- we're extinct and it's only getting worse.

12.  No one is considering Jaque Fresco's Venus Project which would put us in a resource based economy.

13. Not many even know what a resource based economy here is.

14. We have an unemployment, obesity and social stupidity epidemic here but Fox news reports the IRS scandal daily!  Shame on Fox news.

15. There is a battle against political views and religious views that literally doesn't matter- who cares!

16. We have yet to establish affordable green energy and we're usually first in everything... shame on the USA!

17. Education is too expensive for even my dog to attend.

18. Education doesn't matter in the work field any longer anyways.

19. Businesses have gotten rid of on the job training and expect everyone to already be informed and trained in their area of work so they waste little money training you... sorry this is unrealistic.

20. We put more money into our "military" than we do into developing our country.  It's so stupid.

21. We have yet to help educate enough people to stop being racist and homophobic.

22. A mass shooting at an elementary school takes place and we debate over what to do for months after.

23.  We have huge issues here: socially, economically, politically, medically etc. etc. and I have to hear on MSNBC that Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy.  Why is that news worthy?  Why do we follow these celebrities lives?  Who cares... sorry for her troubles but seriously... I care more about our unemployment rate than I do about her personal battles.

24. Government and maintstream media tells us what they want us to believe, instead of what is really going on.

25. Medical care, whether it's a simple check up or it's a surgery... is unaffordable to even those with insurance.  Nothing is coming together here.

26. Most American's will say that if I don't like here than get out!  I would gladly move to another country if they would let Americans in... I can't become a citizen of their country without paying loads of money that I don't have.

We are a culture in decline as Peter Joesph said in his youtube video and I agree with him 100%.  What are we going to do about this crap?  I hate living here... it depresses me further and further everyday.
